The popular program series continues this year with a historical look at the towns of Charm and Farmerstown. Local experts will share their knowledge and memorabilia followed by time for the audience to share their stories, myths, lengends and more. This series has become one of the signature programs of the Holmes County Historical Society. The goal was to take history directly into each community so locals could share their local history and become a part of passing history on to future generations. Many positive things have come as a result of this programming. They have sparked pride in their communities to create the desire to write local history books such at the Once Upon and Town – Lakeville book and the Glenmont book which sold out in less then a month and is in second printing. We invite you to bring some memorabilia to share. Bring the entire family. What a great way to pass on your local history to future generations. Each of these programs follows the main mission of the Historical Society –“Preserving the Past for the Future” Program is free. Donations accepted.
